A coordenadora de hanseníase e tuberculose da Secretaria de Saúde do estado do Ceará , Yolanda Barros, comenta que os fatores que podem influenciar a demora em procurar por assistência.
Segundo ela, é rpeciso edesmistificr algumas sobre hanseníase e lembr aque quem tiver sintomas da doença é só procura ruma undiade de Saúde apra fazer o diagnóstico e tratamento.
O Ceará tem 3 centros de referencia de tratamento da doença e um deles fica em Juazeiro do Norte.
Tratamento
O acompanhamento da pessoa com hanseníase pode ser feito inteiramente na rede básica, nos postos de saúde. Existem duas classificações operacionais dentro do diagnóstico: os pacientes que são paucibacilares (com até cinco lesões/manchas) e multibacilares (com mais de 5 lesões/manchas).
